Effective this month, the former Lucas ERA Realty Group has been renamed Hunt Real Estate ERA, Lucas Division, incorporating the involvement of prominent New York broker Peter Hunt as a partner in the company.  Jeff Lucas launched the local real estate enterprise more than 10 years ago with daughter Erika Lucas-Goff and son-in-law Randy Goff.  The same local management team will remain in place with the new partnership.

The only change that will be readily evident will be a different corporate identity, which involves the new name, new signage and new company logo.  Beyond the obvious differences, however, will be a broadly expanded menu of services and technologies to enhance the company’s relationship with its professional staff and clients, according to Lucas.

The partnership also will provide a foundation for additional growth.  For the near term, we’ll be adding a net of 25 to 30 agents in the next 12 months.  We also are planning a move to new and larger offices in the same market area within the next six months.

The new partnership is the result of Hunt’s interest in broadening an already successful East Coast real estate operation, with more than 20 offices in western New York. Hunt operates the largest ERA franchise in the world and is recognized as one of the top 50 real estate brokerages in the nation.

As to the eastern company’s interest in a westward expansion, Hunt looked at growth opportunity, particularly in Arizona, where market prices tend to be higher in general than those in the east.  The partnership will bring together strengths that the two entrepreneurial ventures have developed over the years.

Peter is a third-generation member of a family that started in real estate in 1911; he built the company from a modest commercial brokerage with fewer than 50 agents in the late 1970s to 850 today. That kind of growth has brought Hunt national recognition.

Hunt also has developed a highly regarded call center operation by which existing and prospective clients, including those generated by an extensive relocation department, can interact more effectively with sales staff.
